I'm also arriving a couple of days early to tour around San Francisco, including a run up to Sonoma Valley.  I should be arriving on Thursday and taking the train to San Jose on Sunday - if anyone is going to be around San Francisco those days and might want to get together for lunch or dinner or a little sightseeing, let me know.

I would have loved to but we are going to San Fran after the conference as is our typical custom. The Russian River area is real nice in Sonoma if you are planning on doing wine tastings.

The official SES San Jose Party Thread is up at Search Engine Watch Forums. This thread provides a detailed list of all the parties that will going on. Joe Morin updates it as he gathers new information.

So far its looking like no Yahoo party this year. Possibly due to their falling stock prices?

Of 'course there will be merriment in the bar. That's standard. The only question is which bar - Hilton or Mariott? I'm at the Hilton, but the Mariott stays open later.

Bill - I'm getting in Sunday around noon - when do you plan on heading up to Sonoma?

I'll be there all week - I've got three sessions spread out in three days - Usability & SEO, Advanced Site Architecture, and Site Clinic.

I was thinking either Friday or Saturday before the week of the conference. I should be in San Francisco on Thursday, but haven't decided yet which day to visit. I have friends who live there who invited me on a tour of the area.

I'm planning on taking the train back up on Friday, to see a little more and fly out of the airport that night.

Dang it and that darn IRC! I've been seething (spelling) since I found out that we weren't coming to CA.

The Google Dance is a must, but some of the other parties were a blast as well.

I expect lots of pictures.
