I was talking to a colleague earlier and he had noticed that for the phrase projector screens he was getting completely different results in the Yahoo.co.uk web results and Google.co.uk.
In addition for that phrase
Yahoo.co.uk Uk web results 16,500 results
Google.co.uk Uk web results 27,200 results
Checked the same phrase on MSN.co.uk and Hotbot.co.uk but the results don't resemble the Yahoo web results. Which suggests that it is not Inktomi based results.
Interestingly MSN.co.uk and Hotbot.co.uk give very different results and number of results
MSN.co.uk lists 56596 results, Hotbot.co.uk 450 results. (Hotbot.co.uk has no search engine option - Inktomi only)
btinternet.com Google UK web results 16,600 but resemble Google.co.uk
I had seen this before around early November when I did some manual searches when somebody suggested that Yahoo.co.uk had switched to Intkomi.
I suppose Yahoo could be pulling from an old datacentre but I'm not sure.
Aol.co.uk and btinternet.com Google uk web searches resemble the Google.co.uk results, although the number of results returned vary.
