I’m considering going to either SES (August – San Jose)
or Pubcon (November - Vegas).
Dose anyone have an opinion about it ?

Codith-I've not been to Pubcon, but I have been to SES and IRC. SES is full of information. I'd recommend hitting that one.

Take me off the PM list, I'll answer here!
I've never been to a PubCon so I can't speak from experience, but I hear positive comments from the friends and colleagues who do attend.
I have been to an SES or two and think they're a great source of SEO/SEM information for people at all learning levels. They also provide good/fun networking opportunities during conference hours and after.
Do both!

The San Jose SES is a blast. I hear Pubcon is too, but if you go to SES you get to go to the Google Dance at the plex and it's always a blast.

I have been to both. Pubcon is very similar in content to SES but smaller and mostly techies in attendance, less from the client side. I found it as useful as SES and *a lot* less of a headache.
Pubcon was in Boston - SES was in NYC.
Pubcon had a few hundred people, SES had a few thousand. Rooms were cramped. Overwhelming, almost too much information. Pubcon had what I needed.
