I'm building my first electronic Media Kit for my website, and I was hoping I would be able to get some feedback on what I plan to put into it.
A bit of background first, it is for a web store selling customizable novelty products.
OK, here it goes:
* A brief abstract of my website and products available.
* A longer history of my website and products.
* A list with links to all press releases I have sent ordered with most recent on top.
* Thumbnails and high-resolution graphics to include:
- Diverse assortment of professional product photos
- Various screenshots of different pages with different browsers
- Logos (including master illustrator file - is that dangerous?)
- Professional themed and generic portraits of myself and other key people
* A comprehensive list of previous articles covering my products or website, with links or transcriptions.
* Biographies with contact information.
Due to the nature of the physical product, I can't include actual product samples in the kit.
Also, I was thinking of creating a physical Media Kit with the same content, and having a request form on the bottom of the site where people can fill out their address if they would like a physical version. Or would this be unnecessary and pointless?
One more thing I wanted to point out is that I have a link that says "Media Kit" in the footer on all my pages. Is that good or overkill?
Thanks for your feedback.
