Excellent!

How do I make it look like the following:

{font-family: verdana;
font-size: 10pt;
color: #000000;
}

Thanks/regards

Click the second tab in AdSense - ADSENSE SETUP

Move through the prompts (e.g., content, text)

You can pick colors to blend in to your site or make the ad pop out. You can also do the same with borders. I've neer seen anything that allows you to change the font size or any font characteristic. Would be a piece of cake to do, but AdSense's agreement means you can't alter the script.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I need to add those attributes to the div element so that the text around the AdSense AD will look like the rest of the page.

Thanks/regards

If I understand you correctly,you want to change the background color of the AdSense page and/or the font and link colors and//or make the border transparent. Those are not added to your page except via the AdSense script. Color is one of the view things AdSense allows good control over.

All of that is done in the path above. If it's something else, I guess I haven't had enough coffee yet, sorry.

Nope.

I do not want to change anything in the adsense code.

The AdSense ad is embedded in an HTML page. The AdSense code is left justified and I need the text of the page to wrap around the AdSense code to have the following attributes:

{font-family: verdana;
font-size: 10pt;
color: #000000;
}

within the:

<div style="float:right"> TAG.

Please if it's still unclear let me know... embarrassed.gif

Do you want

1. the general text of the site to have a verdana font face, be a font size 10, and be in black?

or

2. You want the adsense ad to have the above?

If it is option #1, I don't know the answer but maybe someone else does. If it is option #2, then you can make those changes under "choose ad format and colors" in your adsense account.

So far I have never seen any variation of ad fonts and I doubt there is, because of space constraints in ad layouts.

You are correct. Google doesn't allow one to change the font face or font size. Only the color.

Is flowing around the ad a good idea? Why not just have text above and below the ad?

Note, I'm not suggesting it's a bad idea - just that it's a good idea to experiment with several different placements until you find one that works really well. It really surprised me what a difference a small changes in ad placement and page organisation could make.

I have read some articles that using rectangles and square formats -- which are used in wrapping text content around -- have higher clickthrough rates. I guess that's because people get to see the ads more prominently while reading the body of an article.
