Any how i sent off for it, told them where they could find me and in no time the googleman came calling, i knew he had been by looking at my letter box stats, one package marked google.
I opened up the package to see what google were going to say about my purchase and they said ' wear this badge with pride on your collar'. yippee Google think i am worthy of such high visibility (ok you just sussed where i am going with this).
Anyhow along with the pin was an invitation to a Google party apparently it was to celebrate their appointing a new corporate music maker to replace their old out dated tune creator.
So off i went proudly with the pin/magnetic device on my collar up there for all to see. Some were wearing them on lapels, some in their hair (how the hell did they get it to stay that high up ?)
So on came the new music maker, he looked vaguely familiar and everyone clapped as he beat out a fast latino beat, the music was amazing. Within minutes the whole room was gyrating to the funky beat coming from the stage, we were all in awe of the talents of this guy, (apparently he had been vice president of the USA).
I got talking to the gal i was dancing with and she was saying that many people had forged invites, but they worked anyhow, some had lied and cheated their way into the room but it was such a great party I was happy.
The music stopped and the MC came on the stage, and said, lets all give a big warm Google welcome for the master of the beat, the new Al Gore rhythm band.. It was at this point that i clenched my hand with pride to my google Pin/Magnet .
In absolute horror i realised that it had gone, i looked on my jacket thinking it had maybe moved, but NO it was on the floor being trampled by all these people who had no right to be in the same room as me, they trampled it into to the room.
All that dancing had moved it, it had not been fixed enough to survive that nasty Al Gore rhythm..
I was gutted..... :tooth:

Tell Tom to bring the lamp to Chicago. Maybe it will emit Google secrets to those who stand in it's presence.
