Interesting New Search Engine

I thought it was interesting too, that the company chairman, Bill Gross, is "credited with creating the modern search monetization model that most of today’s search engines are built on. Beyond Search, Bill has founded a range of companies from CarsDirect (Internet Brands) to Energy Innovations to Insider Pages to Picasa (acquired by Google). "
Wonder how they plan to compete with the big boys???

|Many of you may not be aware that the snap.com domain was once the home of another search engine which was purchased by NBC, rebranded to NBCi, and then dropped. NBCi was one of the best, most innovative search services to come along.|

Is that unbelievably good or unbelievably bad?

I'm sure the FTC will be VERY interested in Snap.

Another way to search (rightly said)
Snaps of the webs side-by-side
To think about:
Some querries showing too old cache of websites.
Just my opinion

I haven't found any press releases mentioning such a connection, but I don't know much about this new Snap.
I'm not sure they should have picked a name that had already been branded and burned for search. I wonder if they had to buy the domain name from NBCi, which is still a functioning entity, or if they picked up the domain on turnaround.
