Welcome, Viewfactory! :propeller:

Sorry, but we don't discuss specific companies here, as per out guidelines.

If you'd like to discuss what specifically the company in question does for you, we might be able to tell you if it's worth it. Is it search engine marketing?

I'm also moving this out of the Submitting to Directories category.

My apologies for mention a company name. Thanks for the quick response!

This company promises that "using state of the art Search Engine Optimization techniques, they produce a risk-free search engine marketing campaign that provides you with top placement for keywords that provide relevant, targeted visitors and increase your overall site performance."

I am curious if there is a benefit to using a company such as this. Can they really improve upon what someone can do individually using good research?

This paticular company also includes increased website traffic using software, and email marketing campaigns.

Any advice would be appreciated!

So far, so good...

That doesn't sound so good.

I would ask them specifically what techniques they use for optimization. "State-of-the-art" doesn't tell you much.

Viewfactory, most of us here have search engine optimization companies, so your answer would be YES, they can be a great benefit to your site.

But not all SEO companies are created equal. Make sure to check references and do your own checking on any company you might be interested in.

You might want to check out www.seoconsultants.com to find pre-screened companies to work with, or email some of the posters here who you feel seem to know what they're doing!

Good luck!

they produce a risk-free search engine marketing campaign

Nothing in marketing is "risk free". Marketing is war and with war there is a risk. In this case, the risk is your dollar investment and your site's reputation.

Other than that, what they are offering in your statement doesn't sound like anything abnormal. You should check out the company's references, possibly ask for a sampling of the results they have obtained with some more difficult key phrases, see how readily available they are to you meaning do they respond quickly to your calls or emails, even check them out with the local BBB. Remember that if anything sounds too good to be true, it usually is. The statement you provided sounds okay but I did want to point out that all marketing carries a risk with it as none of the SEO companies in existence have any control over the search engines.

Good luck with your marketing efforts. ;)
