I saw forums.seochat.com/google-optimization-7/ever-notice-all-the-nofollow-code-used-by-seo-chat-77562.html and it got me thinking about the use of nofollow in a blog.
Would it be a good idea to use nofollow for archive links on a home page?
Often there is a very long list of archives on a home page of a blog, but anchor text on those links is like April 2005, March 2005, February 2006, etc; it seems like a waste unless someone is trying to rank for these keywords. There are other pages that are often at the top that don't seem to provide any value from SEO perspective, for example About, FAQs, Contact Us, etc.
What do you think?
