It's right across the street from the Galleria shopping mall, which has three main sections and is the home of Olympic ice skater Tara Lipinski (although I have never seen her there, but that is beside the point).
She lives in a shopping mall? And I thought I loved to shop...

Actually, I think I voted for London, but Houston is starting to sound interesting. I would pay money to see Jill and Michael salsa dancing... kicking.gif clapping.gif

In the meantime, I'll take Alan's ambivalence toward Cardiff as a vote for Houston
Erm, Houston sounds great, but it's going to be hard-pushed to beat London.

Just my luck the next seminar will wind up in Houston after I just spent $300 to fly to SF. ranting.gif Houston is only a few hours away from me.

Oh well, I still vote for Houston or Dallas. flowers.gif You can't beat the southern hospitality down here and watching Michael salsa dance will be a treat.... Bless his heart! lol.gif

I seem to remember that one of our speakers wasn't too keen on Houston, but I might be remembering wrong.

Well you know, this might just be the missing ingredient to get attendence up higher...hmmm

Think we could turn it into a publicity stunt of sorts?

So, Julie, was that just the Texan in you coming out or have you been reading my blog? drunk.gif

Jill, I could probably arrange a Salsa demo or free lesson depending on the day of week and time. A publicity stunt would definitely be doable.

And you better believe I would promote the seminar to the Houston Web design and SEO communities (not that they know me, but that isn't a problem). I've been looking at their work for a long time now. It would be nice to put some faces and names with the Web sites.

People who haven't spent any time in Texas probably don't know what we're talking about. This seems to be the only state in the Union where people can just absolutely trash you and add "Bless your heart" and suddenly everything is okay. I'm just amazed at how effectively that one expression proves to be so disarming.

I used it to describe the way men struggle to learn how to dance on my blog (bless their hearts). I just thought it was funny Julie used the expression when talking about my dancing (bless her heart).

It's a running joke from the last HR seminar as well. We discussed the "she's an idiot, bless her heart" thing at the seminar.

It's not even a Southern thing as I noticed on one of the UK boards I follow, when relating that someone did something totally stupid, it is followed with "bless".

"Well, he set it all up only to find he didn't have any electrical, bless."
