Social Book Marking & Article/content Syndication

Now, what we're hoping will happen is that some of those people have blogs where they'll now recommend my client, and/or they have people checking on what they bookmark at del.icio.us, and those people will check it out, bookmark it, and/or blog about it, etc. etc.
So each social bookmark is an opportunity for some unknown number of people to discover the site via the recommendation of someone they trust. That won't raise your rankings, but those who blog about you will, and all of it functions to expand your audience within your targeted niche and some tangential ones.

Okay, well, that was kind of what I was asking about to begin with and now I am confused some because of what you have previously posted in this string.
As a back drop, I am not sure how much you remember from our conversations & my posts in the past, but this is far from the "only thing" of "the" thing we do in terms of link building strategy. I dedicate substantial resources to content syndication/articles, directory submissions, RSS feeds, Blogs, and press releases monthly. We are very consistent in this execution behavior.
Here is what you said in a previous post in this string:
"Yep, I have it on a few of my articles too! I figure it can't hurt. For instance, see my Buying Text Links article and scroll down to the bottom.
It doesn't appear to actually work though, or nobody's reading my articles!
I think my audience tends to be more newbie like as well, so they're probably not hooked up with delicious."
So, I gathered from the string that it was a bit of an unknown in terms of linkbuilding or how it fits into seo, you, and others were testing it, and I thought I would test it as well.
A few of our articles are tagged on digg & and del.ic.ous, and when I check the back links for each of those pages, they are showing up in the engines. Do I think it will have a huge effect, who knows? Good marketers test things, so ... I was just going to test it......
So, help me to understand where you come out on this whole thing...
Finally, since its out to the forum, my name is Mary Kay Lofurno. I do use DJKay in the forum. I used to be a disc jockey in college, and they would call me DJKay, but, Mary Kay is fine.
Best Regards,

No, I was speaking to the fact that nobody seems to bookmark them in delicious, not about links. (I really don't pay attention to links. To me, they are something that just happen, kinda like PageRank.)
I do see some Technorati links in Google I think. Not most of the others though.

(Most of those you see tagged, are tagged by me!)
The forum and my home page have a lot though...around 80 tags a piece!
