I have one question. Till date i have read that google and other search engine like Blog content and links from blogs. And links from blog will boost search engine ranking.
But recently i have came across following url

In that blogger has mentioned that blogger is using rel="nofollow" tag, so links receive no PageRank boost.
Is it true? Links from blogs won't help in Search Engine Ranking.

yup,
links which have rel="nofollow" attribute has no effect in increasing your page rank.this has been done to stop spam.google does not crawl links which have this attribute.in one word they are invisible to engines.
but if you run your own bolg script on your domain ,you can modify the code to remove rel="nofollow" attribute from blog links,and then the links will help increasing pr.

You can embed your own links in Blogger by editing in HTML mode rather than in the default mode. You have control over their format that way.

I am confused that blogger is using rel="nofollow" tag, just for comments of blogs or for whole blogs.

I read this as he is not willing to share a page rank or get lots of spammy links to his iste and therefore a possible penalisation. Or am I being dumb again?
