The truth is stranger than fiction Nathan. 
Buck Owens of Hee-Haw fame recently passed. Contrary to popular opinion he wasn't one of the old-timer stars who owned a theater in Branson. He did often visit and perform at Roy Clark's Celebrity Theater.
Lots of misunderstandings on that one. Roy's was the first "name" theater in Branson. Owens Theater was the first theater, dating back to 1930's. But it was started by a Jim Owens, who was no relation as far as I know.
You could always see Andy Williams. Or Yakov Smirnoff. Not quite country, but they're both there a lot and have their own theaters.

The Chinese acrobats are amazing too - I forget exactly what they are called, but they put on a great show. It's like Cirque de Soleil.
