Matter of fact, all those solutions are a lot better than anything you can ever really do third party wise. More work, but usually a lot better.\

My company sells a product that is custom-designed for each buyer. They call or email us to make first contact, then we work together to design the product to their satisfaction, only then do they purchase.
After seeing the website, probably 2/3 if not 3/4 of our converting customers phone rather than email us. (And we are happy with that--much more efficient in hashing through their needs.)
What good is web analytics in this situation, and if it is, how would it work, would it have to be modified, etc.? At this point, the best we can do is to just ask people who call or email how they found us. But a lot of people really don't remember the exact specifics very well other than that they found our website.
Haven't started our PPC campaign yet (been working first on optimizing our organic listings), but probably will do so within the next few weeks. Any advice much appreciated.
