Has anyone attended any Webmasterworld conferences in the past? How are they different than SES? Are they just as valuable?

Thanks.

I only went to one in Boston many years ago when they were still a PubCon. Not really interested in them now that they're an actual conference where you have to sit in sessions. yuk.gif smile.gif

Well, we can't all be Grand Zenmaster Conference Gurus such as yourself... tongue.gif

For someone who has only attended 2 SES conferences thus far such as myself, do you think Webmaster World would be worth a look? (Added bonus, since it's in Boston I would get to visit my family...)

I attended the New Orleans Conference last year. It was actually pretty good. It is a much smaller group then SES and, therefore, a bit more intimate. The sessions are very similar to those at SES, however, there is a little more emphasis on affiliate marketing. I would definitely go again. Hope it helps smile.gif

My company has just approved me to go! It will be my first WMW conference/PubCon. Also, my first time in Boston, so I will take a couple extra days prior! I can't wait... I'm bringing my girlfriend and our two dogs, too!

Jill, it looks like you can register just for the PubCon part on Thursday... ($100).

And you get what for your $100?

Previously, the bar was still open to the public. Can't I just go to the bar as a member of the public? (I'm happy to pay for my own drinks!)

Well, the only one I went to before was the last Boston one. But that was only a bit of a conference, and mostly bar. For that one, they gave you a few drink tickets or something, as I recall.

From the session tracker:
QUOTE
This event is spent in a classic Boston Pub with hordeurves (sic) and cold drinks.

"Cold drinks"? Does that include cold beer and chilled cocktails? dntknw.gif

They say they'll announce the exact location at the "Super Session" Wednesday afternoon.

Yep, my plan is to see if Chris or someone else can give me a call once they announce it. I'm only 20 miles out from the city and could zip right in (with my mini of course!) pretty quickly.
