Does this ring true? I can understand the relevant title being better from a purist SEO viewpoint, but is there any truth to her thinking behind it?
At the moment our site has a Links page because there are some organisations that we want to link to because we feel they are worthwhile organisations, even if not particularly related to what we do, as well as some that are very much related to our site.
Im trying to think what to call it otherwise, maybe 'Useful Resources' or something similar.
Look forward to your opinions.

It's one of those myths that started floating around long ago when it became evident that Google valuing some links higher than others, which is something they've always done. The theory became more prevalent when they started removing any link advantage from sites that were using some specific link automation scripts, which at the time named the pages links.htm or whatever. It gained even more believers when Google started severely limiting what they show with their link: command.
It's a complete myth though. People confused cause and effect.
