What in the world does trusted feed have to do with IP delivery, Connie?

Would you prefer content delivery instead?

hence why it is sometimes referred to as legal cloaking.

I assume he was talking about the feed.

Because, that's basically exactly what it is

I disagree. I think putting all content delivery under the umbrella
of cloaking confuses people.

I would be more than happy to use the term legal cloaking if I could find any SE rep using it.

I asked DS the same question since he uses the phrase.

If you or Danny can show me where Matt Cutts or Tim Converse refers to approved or legal cloaking I would like to see the reference.

Google specifically says don't cloak. I think I will continue to use Alan's definitions until some one proves the SEs have adopted a different definition.

I have to agree with Alan. I would view the XML feed as meta data myself, regardless of whether other people view it as cloaking. A cloak hides the page. The meta data is not intended to be seen. It's data about the document, not data for consumption.

On the other hand, meta data can be abused (spammed) just like the old keywords meta tag.

Sorry, but I don't look to others to make my definitions. I could care less what Matt, Tim, Tom, Dick or Harry call things.

Call it whatever you want.

It has nothing to do with this thread in which someone was asking about paying for organic listings.

I'm just going to close this now since it's completely off topic and is now talking about definitions, which only makes for a silly thread. You say potato, I say potahto...

whatever...
