Ditto here! I especially liked the tip:

Use the Google directory to view related sites by PageRank, if you want to use that as measure of criteria when it comes to researching, collecting and arranging links.

I had never thought of that before. Just when you think you know everything ... :)

I wish more people would take this comment to heart, though:

Daniel Dulitz, a software engineer at Google, spoke candidly about PageRank and technical issues currently surrounding the use of the Google Toolbar, saying "0/10 is inaccurate at many times, and because data isn't on a consistent update schedule, it is unreliable, and a poor measure of content value."

Very nice article!
Just thought this needs to be clarified...

Complicated issues such as Javascript, bad coding, image map links, and CSS hurt the process because these make Googlebot work too hard


How does CSS makes Googlebot work too hard? I have learned the opposite.

We've been discussing that in this thread, starting about halfway down the third page. We haven't come up with any concrete answers yet, by the way.
