You can't completely automate it as each directory has its own specs on site description length, format of keywords etc. You may want to have handy in a text file to cut and paste:

Site Title

Descriptions:

a 30 word description
100 char description
200 char description
255 char description

keywords separated by comma, space starting with most important keywords, so you can cut and paste

your email address/contact info

site url

login name / password for some sites

I use an excel spreadsheet to note the date submitted and will check back to verify the links have been added (can take several months with some directories) and make note of any user names and passwords i've created as I go.
