Thanks for the quick answer. Perhaps someone will have a resource for this information in part or whole. I'm leaning toward Omniture, from seeing what they offer and from the aspect that they are a local company to me, but I'm wondering if I'm making the best choice...

The report compares many analytics companies, and the findings are worth it if your budget is large, and you need to choose teh best solution for your individual needs.
OK, I looked and couldn't find the report, but I know it is there somewhere. Best of luck finding it

I presume you meant this MarketingSherpa report:
Buyers Guide to Web Analytics Software (April 2004)
Haven't read it, but their stuff is generally excellent. Just not sure whether the report has since been updated..

We don't have a big budget, but I do want to be sure I'm making the right decision...I expect they all have most of the same features and service, so price is likely to be my main consideration. Guess I'll have to sit through a demo and sales call with each of the top companies, but that'll use enough of my time to equal the cost of that year-old report...Grrr!
If anyone knows of a (perhaps less comprehensive than the MarketingSherpa) free report, please post info here...I'll keep watching.

You'll enjoy checking their online tutorials and/or demos without a salesman pressuring you, they are quick and interesting and get you to look at your site and visitor behaviors in a whole new light.
They have a variety of programs to choose from, free trial versions, you can buy the program you like or use the hosted versions, whichever is best for your budget...and it's not your typical boring program at all!
