Does anybody know if email links consume PR?
We understand that if a page has 10 outbound links to other websites, the PR value is shared in some ratio between them.
What if half those links are email links -- <a href="mailto:me@mydomain.com"> Is the PR still shared among the 10 links, or is it now shared among just 5?

Hello Amabaie,
This is 100% wrong. Dont use we just say you feel so. There is no PR leakage taking place on a site if it has 10 links or 100 links. The PAGE itself wont loose any PR but the PR passed to each of the links will become less for each link depending upon the damping factor of the PAGERANK algorithm a site which is at the bottom of those 10 links gets less PAGERANK while the site at the top of the PAGE will get maximum PAGERANK. The damping factor is calculated by a person clicking on the link of that page how often a random clicker clicks the link on a page. we have discussed this in many topics in this forum and I have given examples for it.
i know one site's homepage which has a PR of 6 with 648 out going links if according to you each page is taking some PR from that PAGE then that page will be having a PAGERANK of -10
.
You can take example directories there are 100s of links in a PAGE still they have solid PAGERANK so your understanding is wrong first of all. So there is no answer to your question maito links wont take any PR,
thanks,
VIJAY.

Because Google doesn't crawl or follow email links, I don't see those links on a page having the ability to "consume" PR as you are asking.

VIJAY, you misunderstood my question. I was not asking whether a page would lose PR from an outbound email link.
I was asking whether the PR value it passes on to all outbound links would be shared with the email links or just with actual page links.
I think both Chris and David answered that question.
