I sell items that are sold only in sets of 25, so I need a shopping cart that I can set up to do the pricing that way. The first set of 25 costs more than each additional set, so I would need something like a drop down window where the customer can choose a quantity/price like this:

25 $10
50 $ 15
75 $ 20
100 $25
and so on.

I also need a field where customers can enter text to personalize their products. I have been able to find that option in some shopping carts, but not the quantity pricing. I wanted to try a Yahoo Store, but I contacted their customer service and was told they cannot do that. I found some shopping cards where I can create a drop down menu with the pricing options, but there is still, by default, a quantity box that cannot be deleted. mad.gif Any suggestions?

I think that MIVA can do that - but I'm not positive.

Smorty shopping carts have this function by using variants or quantity discounts, the system is quite customizable so you will find a way. Plus they're very affordable

Im not sure whether you have manged to sort this out, but i know you can do similar in oscommerce using the products attributes field, and is very easy to do - basically you just have 1 product page, and assign the different quantity/prices as attributes.

I wont go into it too much at the moment, but if you want more info just let me know.

Best Regards

Donna

You may want to check out PDGSoftware as well - www.pdgsoftware.com

I've been using their ecommerce platform for a few projects and have been very impressed with the SEO capabilities and built-in product management features. Plus, you don't need a bunch of plug-ins to make it do what you want it to do.

Depending on your budget, I would take into consideration which cart is best for other reasons than if it has this feature. You can always find a developer to add this feature in. My company often uses basic shopping carts that we find good for other reasons and then we make the modifications neccesary to match exactly what the client needs.
