Hi all,

I'm new and hope to gain valuable advice and information from this forum. I have recently noticed that more sites we have recently submitted only appear to show the index page and none of the others. I've checked their links to the other pages and there is no problem. I cannot see anything that would necessarily stop the spiders either. One of the first sites this happened to eventually had all its pages listed but recently some of the pages have just been showing up with the page names and no other information. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it a normal Google thing now or is there other possible reasons behind it? Thanks. :yuk:

I think this is the case when there is a link to the page from an existing page in Google, but Google has not yet followed the link to the new page.

Usually what happens is very soon after Google will spider the page and it will be fully indexed, eventually - along with other pages of the site.

Google will spider the inner pages and they will be indexed. This is quite normal for a new website.

Yes, this has happened to the last two new sites I submitted to Google. The sites had good linking structure and strong inbound links, but on its first pass, G only indexed the home page fully and listed page names of all the others. When I checked a week later, the full site had been indexed on G's second pass.

Thanks Everyone,

That at least puts my mind at rest. Recent submissions have been following the same patterns as you have experienced.
