Italian directories publisher Seat Pagine Gialle (Seat PG) and Yahoo! Internet search engine sealed a strategic agreement to integrate and use the data bases of Seat PG's Italian and English directories in the Yahoo! search engine services for Italy and the UK, the two companies said on November 4, 2003.
Clients will have the possibility to advertise on Seat PG and its UK unit Thomson Directories Ltd's websites as well as to acquire listing priority and advertising space on Yahoo's Italian and UK websites, the companies added.
(Editor's note: Yahoo!'s Italian site is visited by 2.9 million unique users each month, or one-third of the Italian Internet users. Over 2.3 million unique visits are registered each month to the Web sites of Seat PG's customers, while the Business Finder service of Thomson Directories has over 8.0 million monthly page visits. Seat has more than 2,000 sales agents in Italy and more than 500 in the UK.)
