Are there any directories that carry the same weight as Yahoo? Anywhere close?
For less $$$?

I am anxiously waiting to see where my site will end up on Google.
Thanks for the help.

Welcome misohoni !
It doesn't really matter.
Where rankings are concerned, the displayed PR number is an albatross.
I concur with Scottie. MSN's small buiness directory is a good one. Every bit as good as Yahoo's directory at a fraction of the cost.

Why would that matter?

Also if I have high PR, I can sell links on my site which passes PR on. One of my sites is a PR6 and I sold links and made about 1k...so it's pretty important to me...

Do a search for anything and you'll see that the results are not even close to being sorted by PR order.
I guess there's a sucker born every minute! Good for you to be able to take advantage of that fact!

Should be, but PR really isn't. Certainly not toolbar PR. If you do that search here, you'll find all the articles that say this.

They said I had some issues with my site on all 7 pages.
Also they only found 3 sites linking to my site, when I have more than just three.

2. You get multiple links for additional exposure.
3. It's value priced in my opinion compared to other directories.
4. The whole Business Card thing there can help with local searches if you take advantage of it.
And best of all?
5. I get real paying traffic from my MSN SB listings. Well more than enough to pay for the cost. Which is a heck of a lot more than I can say for many other directories I've paid to get listed in.
