I was just reviewing an order forms from one of the eCommerce site we host. It is available from a secure domain on our server. And of course the URL starts https.
I checked on Google for a PR and/or backlinks and found neither.

That raised the question in my mind of why? The only explanation is that the page is being offered from a secure domain. I don't understand why that should mitigate against it being crawled and since Google counts internal links in it's PR calculation why shouldn't links back and forth to order forms be counted?

Does anyone know how to get a page on a secure domain indexed?

Google sometimes indexes secure pages, but generally does not. If you have pages you definitely want indexed, I would remove them from the secure layer.

Why would someone be searching for an order form for your site? That seems curious to me. What would you optimize it for?

Every internal page makes a contribution to the number of backlinks. And for small ecommerce site the entire list of products may be displayed on the order form.

So in this case I would like the SEs to include it in their database.

You can make the order form not be in the https section and still have it be secure when it processes.

Problem with that is that to the average person, they think it has to show the little lock thingee on the form page for it to be secure. It doesn't.
