Hi,

Is it possible to use the following strategy to increase clicks on Google AdSense? It is legal?

QUOTE
Step 1. You create a top 10 list, I usually name it '10 top bla-bla web sites' (bla-bla stands for the name of the niche your web site works in).

Step 2. You put AdSense into this top 10, but special type of AdSense design - they look like headlines, just a line of text with words, nothing more.

Top 10, it can benamed even like 'Google portfolio of relevant web sites', any way you wish. The idea is just to give fresh alternative to 80% of web sites that show only dull AdSense that are clicked less and less these days.

So, the scheme works like crazy, those who are searching the web for something, will surely look through top 10. You do not cheat anybody, the web sites are relevant (this is Google job) and you get Google checks monthly.

Use it. It works.

QUOTE

Does anyone knows if it is possible? Has anyone tried it?

Please, need help from you.

I think you've answered your own question by using the word "trick". Does a site created using this method provide anything of use, other than money to the owner?

From the Google AdSense Program Policies:

QUOTE
No Google ad may be placed on pages published specifically for the purpose of showing ads, whether or not the page content is relevant.

Sounds to me like these so-called "Top 10" pages would pretty much be the definition of "pages published specifically for the purpose of showing ads."

If somebody turns you in (or AdSense discovers you on their own), you risk your entire AdSense account being shut down. Not worth the risk, MHO.

I agree. This sounds similar in concept to "scaper pages" (or whatever they are called)...no value-added content, simply copying or scraping content straight from the search engine. Basically, republishing what Google is already doing.

Nothing wrong with formatting the ads to go with your site, IMO, but your site content needs to have some sort of uniqueness that adds value and is informative for the user.

My advice: don't use the technique you described, it could come back to burn you. Doesn't matter how much you make now, it cannot make up for the zero dollars you will earn when you are banned from the program. Invest your efforts making your site as uniquely informative as possible, with AdSense included to complement your site design. If you want to show some sort of search results, install an AdSense for Search along with your AdSense for Content ads. IMO, THAT'S the best strategy for long term.
