Building a fine website is like building a fine house. There are many similarities. In some cases you may come up against an architect or a website designer who knows what is best for you. However most architects realize the house must not only be a thing of beauty but must also perform. So the electrical system is planned into the house from the start. It could never be an add-on after the house is constructed.
In a similar way, for a website, search engine optimization features are just like the electrical system for the house. To make the website fully performing it must be highly visible to the search engines. If you build the website, then try to add on the search engine optimization features afterwards, it won't work as well. It will be like a house with the electrical system added afterwards. It is very much better to plan and construct the search engine optimization features right from the start.
Does this analogy work for you?
