Hi guys,

I am totally in tune with positive sentiments about the forum..It has been a great learning experience for me. I am into SEO for the past 6 months only. When i started out i touched base with a few forums and finally settled down on high rankings..I havent posted much but i have learnt extensively..

And to boot most of my sites are doing great on google. I have gone the slow path of getting the basics right and making the site as best as it can be for the users and SE's. I have followed the concepts postulated in the forum. It does feels good when sites which were nowhere have climbed the top rung in a phased manner...
It just means that what i have learnt from Jill and the others here are just whats needed to acheive high rankings..

I would like to thank the high rankings forum for been a boon to aspiring SEO's like me..

Thanks once more..

I have to say that how we interpret what others are trying to say is our own baggage.

Good point!

I have to say that there have been a number of times on forums and even in person where I have made what I think to be an innoccous comment (which I don't even remember I said), only to find out that someone's feelings were hurt by it. sad.gif Always makes me feel terrible cuz I didn't even know I said anything that could be taken that way!

Thanks, everyone for your kind words about the forum. As you can probably tell, it's really a passion for many of us here to share our SEO wisdom and advice. I could (and obviously do) answer SEO questions all day...I love it! To me, that's my idea of a fun day!

Oh, and Dawn, the bday was great! We're not a family that is big on bdays or presents or anything, but this year I actually got 2 parties (instead of the usual none). My Search Creative workmates gave me a little impromptu one with a cake and nice card, and then my daughter Jamie surprised me by getting my sister and her brother to do a little party in our basement room.

So it was pretty cool!

I have to say, one of the reasons I respect Jill so much is that she doesn't pull any punches or make you wonder what she really meant. She says it as she thinks it and while sometimes it's not what you want to hear, you never have to determine if there is a hidden meaning... it is what it is.

There aren't many people out there who are so unfalteringly honest on every level, and so you accept that she's not being personal and just telling it how she sees it. And she does make you think.

She does pay for it- it seems that many people who want (and don't get) her approval swear vengeance and whine high and low about her, make up stories and twist her words- on both sides of the white/black fence. But she's still just Jill, doing what she does best, which is common sense SEO and practical advice.

I'm extremely honored to continue to be part of such a wonderful group of smart, forward-thinking, positive people. It's the entire membership that makes this such a great community!

It's great to hear people 'Tell it like it is"

Wading through the 'assumptions' and gettting to the nitty gritty is very nice:)
