does anyone ever get their keywords as anchor text in directories?

For a lot of us it would effectively mean rebranding, with all that entails, redoing stationery, etc. If I wanted to switch from Kruse Internet Services to Kruse Seo Services then yes, I could then get a keyword into my freebie directory links but look at the effort involved and how long will any alleged benefits last anyway? It's being bruited abroad that Google is taking less notice of reciprocals now - how long before it stops weghting ibls from the bulk of all directories, bar the odd one like DMOZ etc?

Don't know if it means anything, but apparently, Google has PR0'd even some categories of DMOZ, so I think we're well on our way to directory links possibly providing less weight than they used to.

Still, it doesn't hurt to get 'em and forget 'em.
