Actually, that would be fun, and I wouldn't mind doing it now before the conference
I wouldn't mind joining in, especially as I won't be going to San Jose. Why don't we set up a little private forum somewhere for it? We can move the threads into public view after the conference.

So who's going shopping with me? I was thinking of going to the Great Mall on Wednesday after the conference.

Also, I'm trying to find someone to go to San Francisco with on Thursday after the conference...any takers?

Phoenix as in Phoenix, Arizona? Are you sure you want to do that? It is about 100+ degrees everyday here and everything is on fire.

Well everything is really not on fire but there are brush fires just about everyday and boy is it hot.

While your burning up here, I'll be in cool Sonoma County and San Francisco. wink.gif

Yep Phoenix ... going the 11-16th .. then flying back to Philly
I've read about those 111 degree temps not dipping below 91 .... I'm a gal who loves the heat (have been to Phoenix and almost moved there).

We're heading up to Grand Canyon and Sedonna over the weekend though smile.gif

Okay, we've finalized some of our social activities. Sunday my co-worker, myself and I think Liana are going to the Winchester Mystery House and then possibly dinner afterwards. I'm going to try to get some shopping this day as well.

San Fran plans: we're going to take the Caltrain down to Fishermans Wharf after the conference on Thursday and then take a Sunset Catamaran tour of the bay (free food, free alcohol). There are still tickets available for the boat tour if anyone is interested. You can buy them here

Last time I was in SF, a group of us took a taxi over the Golden Gate bridge with the intention of eating, but changed our minds and caught the ferry back to Pier 40 or 41 (v. close to Fisherman's Wharf) at sunset. It was magical. A sunset catamaran tour of the bay would be wonderful, as long as it wasn't too stage-managed. cool.gif

Does anyone know the fastest way to get to SF from SJ? BART? Caltrain? Taxi?

Jill & Scottie - Sorry, I took a little while to respond. I saw the forum and posted, thanks!

I'm glad so many people will be at the Hilton - I won't feel so all alone. My guess is that they have a lot more people coming than anticipated?

I also just realized I'm the first speaker on the first day - no pressure though, right?
