Sorry if i am in the wrong place to ask this question but I am looking for a website that can give me pretty general statistics on things like how many people book a hotel onlne in the US or the number of people online in the US...that sort of thing. Again, if I posted in the wrong place, I apologize.

You could probably find that information at the Pew Internet Project:

This page should give you the internet user info:

And IAC's quarterly report gives data on Expedia and Hotels.com's financials.

I am not sure if you are looking for US statistics only, but you might want to check the European Union and the rest of the world at:
