Depending on what you are trying to accomplish a server.transfer("pagename") or server.execute("pagename") is better for SE friendly programming.
A server.transfer() will pass state information for the collections (Form, Cookies, Sessions etc) on to the specified page and script processing will continue on the target page, while server.execute() will run the script on the page and then return to the calling page after completion.

Jill these are all the questions which are mostly asked by the clients I am workign with ... I guess they keep browsing the web and what ever new they come across they ask me and I in turn ask you guys .. as for the response redirect ... that was actually more of just a question ... because one of the site I am working on had index.asp with response.redirect ... and MSN due to some reason was indesing index.asp ... it was just an ancient file just sitting there ... I had removed it any way it wasnet doing any good if not bad ...
