Having two domains mapped to the same files WILL screw up google, trust me i have taken 6 weeks to sort out this very thing.

First we had the entire site of domain#1.co.uk showing up great at #2 in the serps, then POP the index and about 3 of the pages suddenly were transferred to domain#2.co.uk with the balance in the index on domain#1.co.uk domain#2 fell out of the serps down to 41 (just as well not exist) I presume this was because the pr transferred via backlinks from internal linking had been shot to bugerry.

THe ONLY way i got it to right itself was to re-direct domain#2.co.uk to domain#2 this has now righted itself and the site is back at #2 in the serps, but boy did it give me a fright, and a VERY steep learning curve.

This was not an attempt to deceive anyone, it was just a case of two sites coming together and what I considered a simple answer, so tread carefully with this as it could get worse. I was going nuts as googlebot & google image bot were coming to call indexing, but not adding the pages, it drove me NUTS

all is right now though.
