I have been getting your newsletter for quite some time and really appreciate it's useful and detailed information. This is my first post, please be patient with me. I thought this would be an often discussed topic by my search yielded no results.

If I'm selling widgets for example, and I do a search for the term widgets in my favorite engine, my competitors are listed who are also selling widgets. Is there a tool out there in which I can put in my competitor's URL's and it will report to me a list of their back links?

If I do link:www.competitor.com I get " 2,480 linking to www.my competitor.com" but that doesn't give the detailed information I would like to get to see what valuable links they may have. Thanks for any input.

Welcome csilkman ! hi.gif

I'm not sure that I understand your question, so please correct me if I got it wrong.

But if you're asking if there is some tool that will list your competitors backlinks in a Most Valuable to Least Valuable type of ranking, there's nothing like this that I know of. In fact, Google has admitted that they don't even show all backlinks. Only a random sampling.

I'm probably not allowed to posts links, but you can try SEO Chat's PageRank Search tool, you can enter the same query (i.e. link:www.competitor.com), and then order the search results by PR, which will help you find the more valuable IBLs.

Yes, that is correct. Thanks, I figured I'd give it a shot.
