What is everyone's opinion about buying quality, high page ranked ad text links? A friend of mine swears by them and he has #1 ranking on some some important keywords to his industry because of them. If the company that they are purchased from are reputable and the links are from legitimate P4-P7 pages (no porno, gambling sites etc..), is there anything I should be worried about??

There's a very similar thread going on here zzmac. The general consensus seems to be the main issue to factor in is how much qualified traffic you can receive from such a link.
