Why Google Is Not Indexing All My Webpages?
Posted 20 March 2005 - 10:27 AM
I have more then 100,000 pages and growing…..
Google is indexing only 400 pages.
The site is new (2 months)
How can I speed up this process?

SEO is half about patience and waiting.

what do you mean by disappear?
Posted 22 March 2005 - 09:14 AM
It's not at all unusual for newer sites to show up in the index and even rank well for a limited time. It's also not unusual for them to completely disappear for a time, simply because they do not yet have enough age on them to become well established.
When/if that happens, don't start pulling your hair out. It happens at least as many times as it doesn't these days.
Jill already answered your main question. More links, and especially more links from good sites that contain your phrases in the anchor text, will help to spark more interest from the spiders.

The bottom line is that you can't control how many of your pages they index or how quickly they index them. All you can control is making sure you haven't thrown any technical roadblocks in the spider's way.
Long story, short... Build your site to be the best it can be, get as many relevant backlinks as you can and stop worrying about what they do or don't do. And in what time frame the do it.
In time, they'll either more of your site (very, very likely) or they'll drop it totally if you're doing something they don't like. But you're not going to force them to do anything outside of the norm.
