Hi guys,

I tried to search for the term "[company name removed]" here but I don't see any results so I guess I'll post a message instead.

Anyway, I keep getting this in the email and I am almost tempted to give it a try but I know I should always get some expert opinions here before doing it. I remember I almost fell into Traffic Power's trap if it wasn't for this forum. lol

So, what do you think of company name [company name removed]?

Does it really work? The cost is alright I guess. I mean if it works, I can try that 25 backlinks package first. But is it just a gimmick? Even if it doesn't work, my website won't get banged by Google right??? That's what I am afraid the most... sad.gif

Any feeback will be really appreciated. My website ranks POORLY on Google 'cause I have no reciprocal/back links at all. I only have a few. sad.gif I did quitea few optimization and it turns out my sites rank pretty well on Yahoo and some in MSN. I just want my sites to be ranked somewhat well in Google. smile.gif

we generally don't talk about specific companies here, so I don't know if this thread crosses that line...so I'll at least try to speak in generalities...

that would be my first concern...did you ask to get emails from them? or are the spamming you? I would steer clear of anyone spamming me to use their services...

<edit - chris got to that a little faster than me>

you might be better served spending your money on some directory submissions in that case...the quality directories out there aren't spam.

I don't think we really need to discuss a link exchnage company that spams people via email. This type of thing has been discussed several times before on this forum so I'm closing this one out.

I'm opening this back up after reading what the original poster mentioned here:

Going from no backlinks to a bunch can call attention to your site, especially if they are all from the same site. I'd stay away from buying site wide links.

Take the directory submission advice and start there. Be sure to use keywords in your anchor text and keyword descriptive text with the link.

There are no shortcuts apart from having your own network of sites that are friendly to you and FIT the content of the site you are building backlinks for.

I have had experience with the type of company that you referred to. It's just not cost effective. Do the math.

Beside as your arsenal grows of potential linkers you just have to send an email to and say "Let's do it again" or words to that effect; it reduces the bondage and suffering out of building high quality backlinks.

P.S. I don't don't care for the philosophy that any backlink is a good crosslink. If it's not content oriented, don't use it.

Aren't we about quality and useful sites?

(End of rant .... no coffee yet.)
