Ok, point taken. I'm not actually sure I was looking for a logical answer ... maybe I was fishing for a "just stick with it buddy, you'll get there" answer lol.gif ... I dunno.

As sophisticated as they are, you'd think they could come up with a "I'm gonna start a brand new site to replace the one that just got axed by Google and link to it from all of my other sites" filter that didn't affect those trying to play by the rules.

QUOTE
Obviously, they have decided that most new sites (6 mos or less) are more often than not, NOT deserving to show up highly for competitive search phrases.
True, Jill, true ... and I'm not saying I deserve that either. If I was on page 12 or even 20, I still wouldn't be making money, but at least I'd understand that's my fault, and not artificially imposed. And 6 mos, ha! Competitive keywords, ha! My site has been on the same page for every potential key phrase since day one, regardless of the changes I've made, the content I've added, etc. I know I've got a long way to go to become an "authority" that deserves 1st page status, but I don't have any clue as to how well I'm doing, none at all, because I'm not allowed to know.

Look, I know fairness isn't a priority with them, and that our priorities are at odds. I totally expected that comment to draw out your response. I don't expect Google to do anything but what they care to do, regardless of how it affects me ... but I have the right to be censored.gif off, no matter how irrational ... I'll just yell at the dog next time ... don't have a dog, look out house plants. I'm going to go cut down a tree.

I see I sufficiently hijacked the thread, back to your regularly scheduled program.

<edit> strike the "play by the rules" comment ....substitute whatever won't bring a negative reaction </edit>

I do agree with everything you're saying, Arlen, and I also understand your frustration!
