Should Sansy Hire 1p.com, SEO Company
Posted 01 February 2005 - 02:57 PM
This company TP/ 1p you are talking about, they called me. I told them I saw this board discussion, and they said this discussion was all a smear campaign by 1 individual, or maybe 2, that are competitors.
I have to ask, is that the case here. Is the above just an attempt to undermine what is otherwise a valid and effecitive way for SEO, or is it a scam and a dangerous method that could lead to a ban as noted.
thanks and sorry but have to ask.

anytime, a company has to post on their own site to try and preempt the bad press they get ...that's not a good sign.
I think if you just take into account the recent actions of the BBB that would tell you a little something about the validity of this thread.

One thing that's worth noting is that we have a strict policy against naming companies on this forum. If you look at the third post in this thread, I went in and edited it to remove Traffic Power's name.
Jill overruled me and made an exception for this particular company because there's so much information out there about the things they do that there's no point in keeping their name out of the discussion. Just about everyone knows who we're talking about, we're not the only ones saying it, and anyone who doesn't know about them ought to be warned.

I feel for (Jill) in their response being that Jill (or one or two) - are who they are referring to, and it's just not true.
As a matter of fact, High Rankings was extremely protective and careful with the names and information early on... I personally was already in other forums that were blatantly slamming 1P or TP and their tactics before I ever read a name or a case study here in High Rankings (Bless their little hearts).
Besides, we really don't compete with the likes of Traffic Power here...
It really leaves no motive. As you surf different Forums you look for different things... like people, like minds, good and accurate information, education too if it's provided, and you settle on visiting the couple you like - take a look around, I think you may find you landed at one of the Best and don't know it yet!
I hope you were treated well on the call Sansy - if you're educated on that call... they get kinda ornery (protective, defensive, paranoid, - please select all that apply).

I don't think the BBB leads smear campaigns, do you?

Additionally, I've received clients who have lost their rankings due to 1p or TP and will not go back. It's actually in my financial best interests for them to remain in business, as they are actively generating clients for legitimate SEO's
But it's not in the interests of the clients to get burned in the first place. That's why this thread, and many others like it, exist.
These are the facts:
All known major SEO Forums have threads warning members about 1p / TP
They have been removed from the BBB
Every SEO/M standards group warns the public against them
White hats and Black hats alike consider them a black mark on the industry
Their response to this is that "jealous competitors" are running a smear campaign?
They have never taken a client away from me or anyone I know, and their antics have actually generated a ton of business for SEO's fixing 1p / TP's mess.
You can either believe the people who are trying to sell you their services through high pressure telemarketing, or you can believe everyone else in the industry. It's your website, and since we warned you publicly and repeatedly, don't blame us for what happens.

Anyone who reads all the information available online about 1p / TP, believes that it is a "smear campaign" and chooses to do business with the company deserves the eventual outcome.

They told me if I tried to post anything here that was not a smear of TB that my post would be deleted.
TB seems to be correct and now I question whether the allegations here are true.
Does anyone have proof that TB methods will necessarily cause a site to be banned by Google? That seems to be the real issue.

your other thread was removed because there is no need for more threads about 1p.com.
It's your choice. believe the evidence or don't believe it
And for proof. the answer is very simple. Use them.
Just don't come back whinging later.

I don't know of any TB or now 1p, which is actually a disease, but we have an extensive thread about TP / 1p, and if you visit this excellent research here: http://www.seoconsul.../traffic-power/, you will find out more.
I applaud you for attempting to do due dilligence, but I sincerely regret that you place the burden on us to save you money. I really don;t care if you waste your money. I don't know you or have any emotional investment in your endeavours. These folk over here will set you straight if you are in any doubt at all.
Best of luck, and I sincerely hope you read around a few more forums (not just this one) and get a rounded picture.

You're free to believe whatever you want. Please do hire Traffic Power for your SEO work. If you can do it with a straight face after looking at the BBB report, then you deserve all you get!
Good luck with it! You'll definitely need it. And do let us know how it goes!
WHO exactly told you that? And what exactly did they say? Nobody here would EVER say that. If you could please paste exactly what you were told and by whom, I will demote them as a moderator today.
If you can't show me who said this and exactly what they said, then I do believe you are making stuff up.

If you can read the Better Business Bureau complaints, the multiple stories of both businesses that have been taken by TP (now 1p ) methods, and the SEO's in this forum that have helped clean up those messes, and still classify it as a "bias" . . . well, best of luck to you.

The people in this forum are honest and professional. If you don't believe the people in this forum, just call Google and ask them. Tell them about the methods TP wants to use and see what kind of answer you get from them. I assure you it will be the same one you got here.
This forum has helped me tremendously. Read this tread and get the facts. If you want to believe the hype you heard over the telephone from TP, you go right ahead. Only irrational people are persuaded by emotional language-the educated often see right through it. Please come back and let us know when you are banned from Google.
