Not much need for a message if you read the subject. Their "Branded Response" product is a CPM banner space that you can actually build a direct response creative into the banner. They claim CTRs of 5-15%. Has anyone on here had ay experience with this?

Here is the link: Branded Response

They syndicate the ad to a number of different partner sites, and also, the rates quoted to me were quite a bit lower than the CPMs on the above web page.

That's weird, when I click that link, nothing happens. The other links on the page are working for me though. Does the link work for you, Vertster?

I just checked it, and it didn't work the first time I tried, then I came back and tried it again, and it worked fine.

Okay let's look at the numbers CPM of $85 with a minimum of $10k a month. Let's take the middle number of 10% CTR then it's a .85 CPC, if the number drops to 5% cost doubles.
The added plus would be the link factor since I take it you own the space and it is not rotated, unless the category or keyword has a huge search.

And the actual CPM is looking to be a lot lower than $85. It sounds like a pretty good deal to me. $500 per month minimum buy. The thing I am most interested in is the fact that you can build a direct response creative right into the space, although it is awefully small to make much of a pitch. Good thing this offer of my clients is too good for a lot of people to refuse!

It looks like AskJeeves is trying to figure out a way to sell more of their high traffic/high cost traffic straight rather than through Google. That's similar to what MSN does with their Featured listings and is probably a smart move for them.

This is probably only cost effective to do on high revenue terms, which explains the relatively high minimums.

Considering how well targeted and large the ads will be, the CTRs sound very plausible.
