Hi Jill, hi Nathan

That's pretty much as I figured it - I'd a hunch these were over-full. No conscious "stuffing", just that back when these were written SEO advice was full of taking advantage of the various tags. I knew nothing of Alt tags etc before those!

Been meaning to re-work pages for a while, but no time.

Pro copywriting aside, I guess I need to clear the excess from the SPAN and ALT tags and improve the text a chunk anyway. If there's anything else blatant I need to address perhaps you could let me know...!

How long does Google keep you in the slammer after you've been - unintentionally! - a bad boy?

Thanks folks

Since you wouldn't actually be "in the slammer" for that, just not ranking highly because of it, once you fix it, you should have just as much chance as the next guy/gal of ranking well.

phew.gif! Thanks Jill. By the way, I owe much of our web success so far (before this blip!) to you - you gave me a load of really useful stuff back when I was first setting these up, so you're definitely a good guy in my books. I've recommended you to quite a few folk over here in good old GB.

Hi Jill

Sorry to be back again, but I gotta ask - are we sure about the slammer? Having cleaned and tweaked the pages I'm now ranking higher than ever on everywhere except Google - so for example: "language voice over uk" (one of our primary products) gets me:
#2 on Lycos worldwide
#2 on AltaVista worldwide
#3 on AskJeeves
#6 on Hotbot - weirdly, using Google
#6 on Hotbot using AskJeeves
#2 on Allthe web
#2 on yahoo.com
... but not even on the first 10 pages of Google.

Is it just that Google's updating slower these days, or is there something else going on here? Please...?

Many thanks for any advice,
Mark

Without a URL it's simply guessing, but if you have done an update in the last month or so it sounds pretty normal.

hi All Buddies

Im in a big problem cry_smile.gif when Google came last time on my site for crawling it left me destroyed.

In Feb Google came to crawl my site and after crawling it removed all the description and title and wat was left was only URL and Similar pages links..

My URL is

[removed, please create a signature in "my controls"]

Plz have a look at my URL and just check wats the problem with the site and why all the title and discription are removed as there is no kind of spamming and no Dirty SEO done for the site and also the site has lost all the positions in the Search Engines.

There have been a number of problems with companies not listing, but the Google datacenters appear to be using different indices at the moment, and it's pot luck as to whether any set of results have migrated to any particular datacenter while you're searching.

Try this tool to check a basic list of datacenters, to see basic differences in PR, backlinks, and site: differences:
