I am trying to install the free phpbb :learn: but it first requires a mysql database set up.

My question is how hmm.gif do you do that then.

Hi Tom-

Look in your control panel or whatever your hosting company gives you for access to your site- there should be an option marked "Databases" or "MySQL". Usually clicking on it will get you to a screen where you can add a database, then add a user.

Scottie,

I looked at the control panel but nothing there so I spoke to the hosting support and they had no idea how to set it up, I telephoned back 10 minutes latter and they say yes all you have to do is domainname/phpmyadmin and start there.

So managed to get it started thank you.
