I'm not sure this is the best place for this question, but it's close enough. wink.gif

Does anybody have any suggestions for DVD authoring/editing/burning software? Or a combination that you can recommend? Hopefully something that is not going to cost me an arm and a leg since this is a one-time project at this point.

Basically here are the two things I need it to do.
  • Let me create a clip that is approximately 15 minutes in length, but automatically loop it when played in a standard DVD player without the end user having to tell the player to Repeat the clip.
  • Allow me to loop a sound file (.wav ?) behind the video clip as well.
Any and all suggestions greatly appreciated. I've got an old copy of Nero 2 and it apparently doesn't allow all of that. Or at least not that I can see in the little bit I've played with it so far. I've already fired off a support email to them to ask if the later versions of their software allow the above requirements since they are apparently up to Ver. 6 now.

I trolled around on some video forums earlier this morning and it appears that VCDEasy can do the looping part, and then you can burn the bin/cue file using Nero. Going to download their trial version now to see if it allows audio editing/looping as well. But I would rather find one program to do it all rather than have to create in one and burn with the other.

Have you tried FilmGIMP?

Nero or any standard burner will burn it methinks... a commercial option is Premiere.
Your version of nero is ancient try updating - or the KDE equiv which is free smile.gif

Regarding the looping - Flash/Director would be an easy way to do that... if you use Flash/Director they have basic film editiing capabilities - but nothing compared to Premiere/FilmGimp.

Good suggestions!

Keep 'em coming. I'm tinkering with all of the above all day today. Well, between the phone calls that keep interupting my fun anyway.
