He's removed my articles and replaced them with other people's stolen articles!
At least one is Ed's! (Haystack)
This guy is unfreakenbelievable! I have to admit, I'm starting to be amused at his stupidity. Going to see who wrote the other ones and let them know.

You know, it occurs to me that it would probably be a lot less work and hassle for him to just knuckle down and write his own articles...
--Torka, "or at least hire a ghost writer"

He's also set up a hosting site with ripped off content from a California based web hosting company. It's pretty clear that the guy knows how to type Ctrl-C, Ctrl-V over and over again.

Come on! How dumb do you have to be!!
At LEAST have the brains to lie low for a while! Or just hire a freaking writer-- we're cheaper than lawsuits!

Then he told me that Ed is fully aware of his articles being on his site!
And when I told him what I'd be writing to my 23,000 subscribers later today, he basically threatened me.
Tell ya what... I have tried to be cool about all this with you, if you
decide to send this out, I honestly dont care. Ive made the appropriate
changes but for some reason you continue to be a real ass about this.
If I see anything I dont like, I will make it my personal mission in life to
get you back in every which way I possibly can. I can play these games too.
Im self made, and to be honest, these sites dont mean a thing to me and I
honestly couldnt care less.
Just let me know. If you decide to go through with your little game...

What "retaliation" could he probably give? What's he gonna do, tell all his scum bag friends you are a witch? ooooooooh.
I'm with DragonL on this one. Sue his ass.

I'll probably move this thread out of view once I know for sure that he's keeping my stuff off for good.

However, I wouldn't put out a notice in your ezine Jill. Not for legal reasons, but more because (IMO) it won't look good on you.
How do you find out who someone's hosting company is? Can you have him shut down complete? Of course, he'd be back up in about 15 minutes.

since he seems to have made himself out of other people's work
Im self made

1) go to Network Solutions site
2) click on Who Is section
3) put in the domain name and click on search
4) find the domain server info (in this case rapidns.com)
5) put that domain in the browser and it should take you to the hosting company's site.
In this case, they have a doorway page that has an abuse email address for people (ABUSE@RAPIDNS.COM). Also, I did a Who Is on rapidns.com and the company is US based.

And Jill was invented by a Sudanese* con artist with Photoshop and a vivid imagination, right?
*no offense to real Sudanese people; it was a handy exotic place name

Hey Dragon! Great idea! Jill, you could write a very detailed article about what you can do when people steal your content. Maybe mention that it's happened before and how many site owners have been known to win big in the courts (like Welsh was saying).
Not necessarily what YOU do, but what people CAN do.
