Okay, so I submit to dmoz and a month later they accept the site (end of August). I do a little research to see why the competition is beating us at a few keyword phrases in Google and I notice the comp has an incoming link from the odp. I check it out for our site and I don't see one. This could be a Google toolbar problem, but I doubt it.
Outside of it being a conspiracy against me , what other reasons might I not find a link from odp for my site? We don't do anything shady and they still have us listed. Any ideas? Any advice would be great! Thanks!

Since your site was only added to DMOZ fairly recently, it's more likely that Google simply hasn't gotten the latest RDF dump from DMOZ that included your newly added link.
Be patient for now, they're likely in the process of updating the Google Directory.

Im waiting for a site to appear as well. It has been in Dmoz for just over three weeks, and not in Google as of yet.
However I did receive the following e-mail from Google as a response to my inquiries as to when Google would refresh its directory listings:
"Thank you for your email. We are aware of the problem that you are
experiencing. As you may know, the Google Directory is built on work done
by the Open Directory Project (ODP), a network of thousands of volunteers
managed by Netscape. Please be assured that we are actively working with
the ODP to find a solution. We plan to update the directory as soon as
We appreciate your patience during this process, and thanks again for
taking time to contact us.
The Google Team"
I guess patience is the optimum word from this response.
Anyone else have a reply?

Thanks for doing the legwork; I hadn't gotten around to asking anyone at Google about that yet.
