The time has come to elect a new Board of Directors for the Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization. Thirteen Board seats need to be filled by elected members of the organization. All current members are welcome to nominate other members for a Board position. If your membership has expired or is up for renewal, please renew prior to sending in the nomination form. Member renewal dates and the renewal form can be accessed by logging in and visiting www.sempo.org/renewals.php. If you have forgotten or are unaware of your login please email webmaster@sempo.org. This notice of the open nomination period has also been mailed to the main contact for each member company.
Nominations will be accepted until December 3rd, 2004.
Each nominee will be interviewed to ensure they are willing to run for election and that they are able to dedicate the time and resources required to be a Board member of SEMPO. The SEMPO Board is a working Board, providing not only strategic direction for the organization but also providing resources (time, tools, people power) to ensure that the goals of the organization are reached. Only nominees who are employees of a member company will be considered. Sponsors and employees of sponsors are not eligble to be nominated for the Board or hold a Board seat. There is no limit to the number of nominees that can appear on the election ballot.
No more than one Director may be employed by one Voting Member. Directors will be elected by proxy in late December or early January. Each member or member company shall have ONE vote. Directors will serve a one year term.
More information on the Board elections can be found in the SEMPO By-laws, Article 4 and 5. The by-laws are posted at www.sempo.org/about.php.
