A Title Test

I changed the thread titles on 09/16/03 to show the thread title first and "High Rankings Search Engine Optimization Forum " last.
I don't check SERP's often, but I have checked a few lately and the old titles are still showing up. If anyone notices the new title order in a SERP, post it here.
Obviously, new topics since 09/16/03 will have the new order but I am curious to see if Google is updating any of the older topics. I'm also curious to see if Google is following multi-page threads or just the first page, since the link is at the bottom of the page ... I could test for myself ... :lazy:

That one started and ended before I changed the title ordering.
Jill-

It shouldn't be doing that since we changed all links to point to www.highrankings.com/forum/ . That is very, very odd... that change was made on 09/17

Also showing some older internal links here- I imagine that is because those pages haven't been crawled lately...?

Strange, right now G is showing a Sept. 7th front page of the forum it's cache. Which would explain why they don't have the new titles yet.

Jill and Scottie, we have seen similar things for our sites. If we have a number of domains pointing to the same site, Google usually just lists the main domain with the most backward links (as it should).
However, when the site changes dramatically (for example a complete revamp) Google will show the main site and update it frequently, but it will also show some of the other domains in the SERPs, but they will still show the old site in the cache and Google takes weeks (if not months) to update these pages (in fact, they usually vanish from the SERPs, so everything goes back to normal).
Just done a search for one of our sites, and we have recently changed the way the titles are displayed. The main domain is fully up-to-date in the SERPs, whereas Google is showing some of the other domains with the old titles.
So what you've experienced seems to be consistent with what's happening with us.
Don't know if it's helpful in anyway, just one of those things that Google does where you have to sit back and be patient.
