Help! I'm having a hard time figuring out which topics I've already read. Is there a way to have them change color once I've read them. I couldn't find anything on this topic, but then again I have my child pulling at my sleeve, so I have limited time to figure this out.

Thanks in advance for you help.

If you go up one level in the breadcrumb trail from here to the main Forum Tips and Help page, or any page of that level, you'll see threads with images to the left of their name.

Scroll down on that page and you'll see a key that explains what those images represent. Basically, an image with bright colors has new replies since you last looked at it and a dull one does not.

If you'll click the "view new posts" link at the top of the page, it will give you a list of topics with new posts since your last visit. There is a little blue arrow that will take you directly to the first post you haven't read yet.

Another way to follow the threads is to use an RSS reader.

Scottie, I assume you are the brains behind the implementation - this is the *best* implementation I have seen for a forum. Thank you for putting the work into it. It saves me so much time to be able to follow the threads in my RSS reader. Being able to get the entire text of each new post, rather than just a heading, or worse only notice of new threads, is Great!
I wish Invision would adopt it in their default build; I am always disappointed when I look at a forum, try the RSS feed and see that it contains nothing useful (a bunch of headings - what value does that have for me) - this is the only forum I really follow because I find the others all too much work for the payback.

Thanks again!
(I've been meaning to PM you, but a public thank you is so much nicer smile.gif)

Oops! Sorry, I see how this works now. Like I said, my child was wanting attention, so I have to "steal" whatever time on the computer I can get. Thanks guys!

Aw, thanks Lea! flowers.gif

It is a modification I installed- I agree it would be nice to have it in the default, especially since we are on the verge of a major upgrade and the RSS is still a hack, not a feature.
