I just changed one of my client website's some pages name as on client request and create 301 redirect file but file its not working.
Please let me know where I am wrong and did mistake in 301 redirect file.
> Save file by .htaccess
> Command line :
redirect 301 /old/old.htm h ttp://www.you.com/new/new.html
redirect 301 /old/old1.htm h ttp://www.you.com/new/new1.html
redirect 301 /old/old2.htm h ttp://www.you.com/new/new2.html
> Upload file in root directory.

Well one more requirement for this, The server should be Apache, and check for "Allowoverride" to All to allow 301 redirect

I would use RedirectMatch myself. Assuming your server supports redirects.
